This decision was not an easy one to make, as I've had a good solid ten years (May 24, 2008 thru May 24, 2017) invested into the Blogger platform of weblogs. But, as they say, all good things must come to an end, and my time on the Blogger has come to end, and believe it or not, the reason why we are closing this particular chapter in my social media life is so incredibly basic as it will boggle the mind: the passion has done left the building.
Whereas I feel seriously engaged in writing my Tumblr blog, not in regards to reader comments/engagement but for rediscovering my mojo again, the engagement for writing my Blogger blog is gone. Kaput. Finito. Silencio. Joined the choir invisible. Pushing up the daisies.
I really have truly enjoyed some of the lasting friendships, both real world and cyberspace, that I have made via Blogger blogging and I will fondly remember each and everyone of you.
While change is hard (believe you me, it is wickedly hard on this end), change is something I must reluctantly accept. I think it's better to end something on your own terms as opposed to simply grinding it out to just grind something out.
So, what's next for me? Well, if you scan both sides of the business card, the following addys will still be in play. My book blog located at both Tumblr and at Blogger (which will remain active); my Tumblr blog, which covers the 2.017 version of my writing journeys; and my public Facebook page, of which my goal for the year with that page is to become more active, thus changing the algorithms that ultimately will say yea or nay with my page. I'm still leery on posting certain things/links on FB, since the fiasco of 2012 stuck me at level one of FB jail in perpetuity. So the 100% voluntary self-censorship that I employed here will be given up for the 100% involuntary censorship that I will have to employ at the world's biggest inconsistent social justice warrior website known to mankind.
Which, as you undoubtedly know, sucks major party politician's you-know-what. That is, if you can find their you-know-what.
As always, I'll still be lurking/reading and occasionally commenting on all of your wonderful blogs, because to be perfectly honest, I need something good and intelligent to read while I'm eating my morning breakfast and the like.
And as always, you can peruse the entire archive here, as well as my other dormant blogs (via the page tabs up yonder on the front page).
So my friends, colleagues and fellow bloggers, it has been a truly fascinating and rewarding ten year Blogger blogging journey. And what more fitting way to conclude my Blogger journey than to write and post my final Blogger post on the exact day of my ten year anniversary.
I will forever be your blogger bud from Connecticut.
